Last night was actually our second investigation at this place. We were contacted by the pastor because of the reports of activity that his son (who is the maintenance person of the church) and the employees of the day care facility in the church .
It was a rainy and cold night - almost textbook conditions for creepy things abound :D. When we got there, we were greeted warmly by R, the church's piano man who is also a paranormal investigator. Being our second time here, we skipped doing the full EMF and temperature sweeps of this place because we've had logged it previously (and I and another investigator J had to go through the tedious task but someone's gotta do it).
My bladder was about to explode and I knew where the women's restrooms were but R couldn't help but say on my way there , " That place is I think, the most haunted part of this building.".
" Oh great...you have to tell me that on my way there." I said laughing.
Women's Bathroom
So we did an evp session in the woman's rest room with D, R and myself later on. We utilized the trifield, k2 , emf readers and digital recorders. R also unscrewed the top of his led flashlight so that whoever/whatever can manipulate the flashlight to light it up.
During the EVP sessions in there, there was barely a k2 blurb. However, it was documented in our previous investigation and again in lst night's investigation that when the lights are on in the bathroom, the celiing lights give off a very high off-the-charts emf (100 + ) which emmits about mid range about 2 1/2 feet from the ceiling. So, someone who is at least 5'8" and happens to be sensitive to EMF might feel the heebie-jeebies (because it is said that sensitivity to EMF can cause paranoia among other things). R's flashlight would turn on by itself on certain questions he would ask such as "Have you been here a long time?." Being the skeptic, I am suspending my judgement. Because the flashlight thing only happened at least 3 times in the course of all our questions. I observed though that the flash light (which is sitting on the floor face up) lights up in R's questions only. Is it random or is it direct responses? I don't know. The lights are turned off during the session and so the emf drops to 3 within a 2 1/2 feet from the ceiling.
And again, in our investigations, although we don't downplay them, we do not present any of our personal feelings,psychic impressions, personal experiences or vibes as evidence because we want emperical and measurable data - and I'm the same. I'd still would like to share however, a few experiences I had last night.
So while we were in the woman's restroom doing the evps, R asked , " Are you alone here?" and instantly I felt this sadness and I wanted to cry and it was just building up but I shook it off and it went away. This went on for about less than a minute. There is a phenomenon called "Empathic"
or something to that effect where a spirit is said to communicate what they are feeling by having a person feel it. I want to say, it's a first for me, never happened to me before in any investigations but , it's not emperical and it's not measurable so , I can't present that as evidence. I don't have an explanation for it too , I don't why it came about, I was just standing there and then after R asked that question, I felt so sad and want to cry. Maybe Science can explain it with biochemical stuff in my brain that was a little bit imbalanced at that moment - who knows. I did not voice this out to D and R either. I kept it to myself but I'm posting it here, for the record I guess.
Ever heard of noise matrixing? From my understanding , if there is this combination of sounds like static or white noise from the refrigerator hum or air vents and because of all these sounds, our brain tends to associate it with things that are familiar. Well, I hear music through the white noise of the bathroom fan and I also heard a woman's voice say " Hello" when I turned on the lights (the fan also turns on at the same time) and said "hello" too but despite of that, I still dismissed it as noisematrixing or is it not? EVPs are said to stick within the white noise of a recorder under certain "hertz" below our range of hearing...
Sanctuary
We then moved to the place where they do all their ceremonies and worship.This is a Christian-based church so there is a cross up on the stage. The stage also has musical instrucments on it.
The lights were off and the heater was off so , it was really cold in there. We set up there with the different equipments we've had used in the bathroom. We did our evps there and we are careful to tag the sounds we hear to rule out any evp contamination like for example - there are people talking outside we we state that . Or if our stomach growls (which happens alot lol), we tag that or state it for the record.
Again, there was little k2 blurb. At one point D went inside the office by the stage, I was seated on the steps on the side that lead to the stage so I have the view of the pews, I don't have the view of the pews dead center though, my view of it were at an angle from my right. I placed my recorder on one of the center aisle pews. D stepped out of the office and her flashlight shone towards the middle aisle. I saw a solid black circular thing about pew level second from the front, it looked like a head and it move from right to left (or towards the stage) and disappeared or ducked behind the pew. It startled me but for second , but before it startled me, I thought it was just a peson but then I realized D just stepped out of the office to my far left, and R was seated in the center steps of the stage (which he should've had a full view of this thing but he said he didn't see anything). So I mentioned it to them and asked D, in an attempt to recreate the conditions, to step out of the office again and shine her light because I wasn't sure if it was just casting shadows. I want to say that the cars that drive by does cast shadows on the wall. The I look back at this to rule out any possibility, and I try to slowly , like frame by frame in my mind, nit pick it. I had to draw what I saw and I remember seing this solid round thing and I could not see through it, it was free standing , it moved from right to left like towards the stage and the pews were also blocking it. If it were a shadow cast by moving cars, it would have been sticking to the walls. I've observed too that the shadows by moving vehicles are lighter almost a dark gray. This was was free standing and it was partially blocked by the pews, it was solid because I could not see through it. I knew what I saw and I know I will be met w/ skepticism which is fine and highly encouraged. There is a camera pointed towards that direction and maybe it might've caught this shadow. It will be great if it did but I don't think it caught anything. You know what it reminded me of? If you have seen an episode of TAPS where they were at this lighthouse and their cameras caught this dark circular thing moving and jetting up the spiral staircase - that's how it looked.

Upstairs Donation Room
Then we moved upstairs to the donation room and still using the same equipments. There were the occsionally flashligh incident but again, it's hard for me to rule out if it's random or direct answers because it was so far in between. We've noticed though that when we started talking about other thing and not really talking to it directly, the flashlight turned on three times one after the other - as if it was trying to get our attention.
We went back to to the Sanctuary D and I and that was flat, uneventful like the rest of the night, when W walked past the hallway and we playfully asked the "ghost" to mess w/ W - knock his hat off, tug his shirt or whisper to his ear . Earlier that evening he spooked us by jumping out in front of us from the corner.
So we went on with our evps for a few minutes then we wrapped it up and went back to command central where we saw Will looking shocked to see us and said.
" I thought you guys where in the daycare center (which was the room next command central) because I kept hearing female voices talking over there."
I started to laugh and D didn't know why,then I reminded her about whwat we told "them" to do to W.
I have so many EVPs to go through , it's not even funny. I don't know if I've caught anything.
One of the experiences the day care staff went through was when one morning, the two female employees on duty were in the far end of the opposite side of this hallway doing their morning routine. The children were not there yet and they were the only ones in the building. In between the opposite of end of the hallway is the women's restroom. Both the employees saw this blond lady make a mad dash towards the women's restroom which startled them because the building was locked up. They never saw the woman step out of the bathroom.
I should do this more often. Had to wrap this up too as I have at least 5 evp sessions to sift through.
