How are you? just want to bug ya..wondering if FF is starting to pick up? It's starting to to pick up over here. Any plans for the weekend? Are you excited for the holidays? Will be spendign it in San Ramon?

Did I tell you that I'm part of this book club in Davis? I just joined last month and we had our book swap/holiday style. Ok, what's your take on this. If the book swap/book giving states " Bring your favorite book to give as present to another book lover" what does that mean to you?

So that's what I did. I actually bought a copy of my favorite book and wrapped it. We did the book swap and guess what I got? I unwrapped the pretty sparkly paper and it revealed a Vegan Cookbook. A.Vegan.Cook.Book. I tried my best to hide my disappointment. I'm sure they have the best intentions in mind. Everyone else got regular "story" books though and they even put in a rule tht you can "steal" someone else's book but I never got my turn - no one wants this book. I know they all were sympathetic when I said " So it's too late for me to steal?", and I could see the look of understanding on everyone's faces but here I am always careful not to hurt the feelings of the person who brought this cookbook. One suggested, " Maybe someone can swap w/ you?" and I managed an awkward, " Yeah.. if they're ok with that.." still trying my best to not step on people's toes and not to sound ungreatful. Finally this one lady spoke up and she said , " Do you want t his book?" she held up her pick - Marley and Me. Turns out she was the one who wrapped the Vegan. I hesitated but she insisted. I apologized and said to her I don't cook and I'm a meat eater. She understood saying that it's not me. She was just thinking of the vegetarians in the group...so I got Marley and Me to read.

So that's my random let-me-bug-you-Andrea story. Thanks again for listening.
