Third Man Theory

So we've all heard of people who found themselves in a very emotionally-charged traumatic situation only to find themselves being helped by an unknown person - some are described as female, some are described as male who somehow saved them from more serious danger.

One of the stories that fascinated me was of Mr. Ron DiFrancesco who found himself trapped on a stairwell on the south tower of the World Trade Center during 9-11-01. He said that he heard a voice told him to get up and guided him past the blazing stairwell and he stumbled out of the building shortly before the tower collapsed. It is said that he is one of the 4 people to have escaped the towers after the 81st floor.

Science explained that this is a physiological response - somehow our brain and some-biochemical gets activated causing people to hallucinate so that they can cope with the stress of it.

If it's a physiological byproduct or a guardian angel, I don't want to even wonder. There are far more things that we still are a long ways away from being explained.

I recalled a dream years ago, probably months before my cousin M was murdered. I had a dream that I was in a grocery aisle and I looked up and at the end of the aisle (mind you too, the setting was hazy and it has a soft glow - it's not in HD so to speak), I saw this dark skinned, dark haired good looking young man , he wears a gray crew neck sweater and dark colored slightly baggy pants. I don't remember what happened next but I then felt a feeling a despair then I saw him again and I heard him say " It's ok. Everything is going to be ok." And I woke up feeling light and comforted.

Months later and that thing happened to M, I recalled this dream.

Physiological byproduct or guardian angel? Does it really matter? There is that part of me called faith that I hope I will never lose and there is also that part of me who also embraces the scientific explanation to juxtapose faith. I hope I'll always find a balance.
