..someone has already thought of. I redboxed Star Trek last night and there was a scene where they showed their captain's vital signs and when their captain got killed the chart stated " Terminated".
I wonder, with all of this technology that we have and how we insert a gps chip on pets nowadays - I will not be surprised how a chip can be put in us in the near future. The chip will track our vitals and it will break it down in the different bodily systems. It will track blood pressure, sugar level, heart heart, bone and joints etc. We can go our doctor and all they have to do is scan us. It will monitor for unusual growth in any of the systems , catching any potential cancerous cells. It will monitor brain waves and maybe it will help us understsand ourselves better. Temperature will be monitored too.
And , we can be notified by email or text or snail mail for any medical visits or to notify us if it sees any anomalies and would recommend to have it checked. Further more, it will generate us a list of specialists / doctors in your area.
There will be a competitive market for the system manufacturer who could make these chips and the database managers. The government will put laws in place to protect the privacy of humanity and to place standards and controls to make sure they don't go rouge.
And of course, there will be a healthcare system in place that will allow equal access to good and affordable healthcare for everyone.
--- parallel universe, I wonder if I'll ever see this in m lifetime?
