Sunday afternoon walk...

There is this little sliver of "stream" that bubbles down a few blocks from where I live. I often take Chico there during the dry season - before mosquitoes charge at my face and ears. Spring time brings wild flowers blooming in colors. This afternoon though, is almost like the eve of winter. The trees are almost bare and there is a biting chill in the air. I brought my camera along just to take photos of things that I find interesting at the very least.

I ran into a gentleman walking their dog, He said that it might rain 1-3 inches, and he said that he has lived here 21 years and it snowed back in '88. There is a bite of chill in the air even w/o the windchill factor. Heavy dark gray clouds are moving from the northwest headed east. I thought it was another one of those rare California storms.

I googled weather and it seems that it will affect our entire region. I know it might sound so lame to some of you used to driving in snow - well I'm not. I wouldn't know what to do if I hit a patch of black ice on the road. I am seriously contemplating on just calling in.
