Not since that day of high school graduation have I even seen the shadow of these people - in a place thousands of miles away across the Pacific Ocean. That was literally half a lifetime ago - and now, I am twice the age but still none the wiser it seems :)
I pulled up their beautiful two story house and I already could hear children playing inside. I was warmly greeted by J who even looked more beautiful than ever. Then there was another girl, C ..I mean, woman from high school who was there with her pre-teen daughter - wow. Has it been really been that long ago?
Then here comes M - the birthday boy. I was so excited to see everyone. J pulled out our highschool yearbook and went through it. We looked through our special Class of "_" page.
It's great to know that mostly everyone who is visible are doing so great. It seems like most of the "boys" from my highschool still get together to play basketball. Most girls still get together from time to time. I did observe though the the boys are less clique-y than the girls hehehe.
Funny how M was thanking me , saying that if it weren't for me he would not have made it through our senior year in highschool. Huh? He answered because I would let him copy off my exam papers LOL.
I wondered about my former highschool crush and I was so happy to know that he has made a name for himself and is very successful and is happily - he is actually the boss of C's husband :D.
Funny how widespread this fact was - of my infatuation for him, that I even made his brandnew girlfriend uncomfortable the first few weeks they were together. I remember being in the girl's bathroom and I heard a bunch of girls come in and they were talking about him. I stepped out of the stall and she stopped mid sentence as if embarrassed LOL. I can feel the tension and I still find that to this day - what's the big deal? LOL You got the boy, I didn't - I'm cool with :D. No she is not the current wife.
I met their beautiful children - two sons . The youngest is a mini version of his Dad it's hilarious.
There will be a reunion exactly 1 year from now.
They asked me to be a facebook member - we'll see. :)
To J and M thanks for inviting me :).
