...because I just might forget that it was even in my mind.
First off , Alexander McQueen - I hope you find peace. I love your Art and your talent will be missed.
....John Mayer , I've always been your fan and I still am a fan. I hope you can come out of this a better person and I hope you hire a very good publicist who can work on your damage control.
Outsourcing:
So there are fashion designers who are outsourcing their label because it saves them money.
But they keep the prices the same because we all are paying for the brand. How brilliant of them .... shame on them - and I'm a stupid consumer.
Jobs
So, I heard in the news that there are less than...100k jobs created each month - and it outnumbers the numbers of graduating high school and college students.
Yes unemployment is up, the economy is down - and yes I will beat this dead horse.
In college , one of my proffesors (Dr. M) spoke about "sense-making". Well here is my sense-making. The structures and engineering projects from the 1920s or so are now crumbling and deteriorating. From water pipes to bridges and everything in between. The US has not really worked on upgrading or rebuilding the aging infrastructures etc.
Isn't this an opportunity to maybe create some jobs in this down trodden economy? Stimulate the economy by having contractors to rebuild the aging infrastructures of this country? Wouldn't this be an epic project?Or is it more economical to just let it rot ? It doesn't make sense. Economic or otherwise. But that's just me, an ordinary person, in an ...extraordinary but scary world.
When Hooever dam was constructed in the 1930s , didn't it create alot of job opportunities? I bet it also jump started the surrounding areas.
Ironically, from what I saw in The History Channel (yes I watch show in that network), Hoover dam like alot of the agin infrastructures in the US, needs TLC.
I know it takes more than just rebuilding aging infrastructures to get off this slump ..but maybe..just maybe..it's a start.
Ok, I'm signing off. It's Friday tommorrow yay! Long weekend
and oh..I'm going Whale Watching this Satuday ..it will be off the cost of San Francisco. This weekend is also the Mavericks contest - but my understanding is, it is further south - in Half Moon bay...I'd like to think the charter boat that I'll be in won't encounter Mavericks. I'll stack up Bonamine hehehehe.
anyway, I really am signing off.
